YOGA for children Tuesdays from 5.30pm to 6.30pm

In a contemporary reality that requires continuous performance to self-assert itself, in which the gaze is perennially turned outside to emulate, compare, it is very useful and necessary to recover spaces for inner listening to become aware of one's emotions, energies, attitudes, talents, pains and aspirations.

These purposes make yoga particularly suitable also for children who through yoga can significantly improve self-perception, the general and segmental body scheme, the ability to self-control and manage emotions.

Yoga considers all the spheres of development of the child: physical, mental and emotional and for this reason it differs from gymnastics, also for the introspective atmosphere that is created during the practice.

The lesson begins with an invitation to take off your shoes to recover contact with the ground and all the perceptual stimuli that the soles of the feet continuously transmit, but there is also a symbolic value: leaving out of the space of practice, undressing everything that accompanies us in the rhythms of everyday life, to discover that we are always new.

After the warm-up games, relating to body perception and the space around oneself and in relation to the other, children are offered breathing awareness exercises as a real tool that allows them to obtain a full and deep relaxation and connection with the self. In playful mode, children will try asanas (yoga positions) resorting to the imitation of elements present in the real world (the bridge, the cat, the tree, the fish, ....); sequences are then created with the music, to then reach the final part where the protagonist is breath again: the teacher's voice leads the children on a journey inside their body to explore the changes that have occurred during the practice and to release the tensions and worries in exchange for a feeling of well-being.

Physical practice alternates with moments of sharing the sensations experienced through guided conversations or free drawings, mandala coloring, manipulative activities in silence to calm the mind.

A path carefully calibrated on children will allow them to acquire resilience, that is the ability to minimize and overcome adversity, positively reorganizing their lives whenever necessary.
