Tuesday and Thursday from 6.45pm to 8.30pm Teacher Ilenia Romeo

Physical and mind as a whole, related and not separate, in a holistic view of the human being.

On the physical level: the stretching and strengthening of the muscles which is fulfilled in the course of practice, combined with breathing, promotes the oxygenation of the body, l 'elasticated' and facilitates the elimination of toxins.

On the mental level: through the attention necessary to the practice of the positions, yoga allows you to increase concentration and mindfulness that help to clear the mind from excessive thought production.

The breath

In the practice of yoga all attention is focused on listening to the body and the breath. Mindful breathing means taking care of yourself. We breathe from when the umbilical cord is cut to when we finish our journey in our body by exhaling our last breath, "but it is not we who breathe but an energy breathes for us. Let's get in touch with it, let's get to know it." We are focused on the present moment, and the mind is less likely to wander.

The effects

Yoga increases awareness and promotes introspection and observation of internal sensations.

It is a real meditation in motion, with all the benefits of meditation,

that last well beyond the lesson on the mat.

Furthermore, as the body and mind change thanks to yoga, self-confidence increases and strengthens. This happens because as we increase agility, strength, flexibility, posture, but also the ability to manage our limits and stress, we slowly build a better mental image of ourselves.

Thanks to the practice of yoga, and the awareness that derives from it, a more relaxed, clear and active mind develops, which better contributes to facing our life.

Who is it for?

Yoga is not competition.

Yoga is a practice suitable for everyone because it can be performed in a way that suits your physical abilities. Krishnamacharya used to say that anyone who is able to breathe and use their hands is also able to practice yoga. Yoga is living here and now… everyone practices at their level and for everyone the result is the same: a better quality of life.
