Ilenia Romeo

Ilenia Romeo, born in Palermo on September 17, 1972, graduated in Foreign Languages and Literature in 1996, teaches in a primary school in Palermo. From the age of six he began studying ballet, which he continued to practice until the age of 20 alternating experiences of contemporary dance with the American dancer Grant McDaniele preparatory techniques for dance. In 2009 he began practicing yoga rediscovering that lost contact with his own body, a new way to listen to it, feel it, support it and guide it.

In 2011 he participated in the training course for teachers “la ludoscuola” organized by Arciragazzi. Later he approaches and starts practicing Zen meditation of the Ri nzai school at the “One Drop” association and experiences his first retreat (sesshin) with the Zen monk Shodo Harada Roshi, in January 2014.

In the same year she participates in the course for yoga teachers for children according to the Balyayoga method, wanting to propose to her students the well-being that she herself experiences through games and fairy tales, elements that differentiate this yoga from that for adults.

Subsequently he begins a study path on M indfulness (meditation on awareness) by enrolling in the first international master in Sicily organized by ISIMIND in which he obtains the title of "Mindfulness in the evolutionary field" resulting from the practices, study and retreats of the master, which ended with a preparatory exam for the title.


Thanks to these last mentioned experiences, he begins to experiment in the classroom the effectiveness and usefulness of yoga and breathing in the awareness that children welcome with an open mind and heart and ask enthusiastically during the day to better face the moments of greatest load. study or emotional.

Take part in a retreat at the Avalokita center in Abruzzo, an Italian branch that is headed by Plumvillage in France, the practice center of Zen master Thich Nath Hanh, a Vietnamese monk. The retreat dedicated to teachers entitled: "Towards an enlightened education" was led by dharma master Richard Brady, Mindfulness teacher at the University of Massachusetts founder of the Washington Mindfulness Community who pays particular attention to cultivating awareness in the younger generations .


Since June 2016 she has been offering mindful yoga classes and conducting her own yoga class.
In October of the same year he participates in the training conducted by the Anhydrous University of Genoa "Yoga enters the classroom", a course accredited by MIUR
She obtained the title of yoga teacher recognized by the CSENe from Yoga alliance organized by the Odaka yoga school.
He attends some Vinyasa yoga workshops with master Ignazio Accard i of the Phen de Cio Ling “Yoga and meditation center Aulla” school.
Participate in the second level training conducted by the People's University of Genoa Anidra "Yoga enters the classroom", a course accredited by MIUR

Study 2nd year of Hathae Vinyasa with the masters Ignazio Accardi ERYT 250 PLUS Yoga Alliance Italy and Australia, according to his Dhamma yoga method.
