WING TSUN

Teacher Roberto Miceli

"Hit your opponent but don't fight with his strength".

From ancient China and from the brilliant intuition of the Buddhist teacher Ng Mui, Wing Tsun is not only one of the most effective real self-defense systems. Based on compliance, the essential character of his techniques aims to be successful even in the face of much stronger opponents physically.

It does not require particular physical skills, and is suitable for both men and women of all ages; even advanced age. With its forms, principles and training programs such as chi-sao and lat sao, the goal is to "educate" the instinct to move the body in flexibility and without pre-established patterns, because real aggression has no patterns and limitations.

The Real Action training program of AWTA also studies the application by "simulating" real aggressions and various degrees of difficulty.
The basic principles of Wing Τsun and the structure of the training program will therefore be a balance between phases of reasoned study with very dynamic and reactive forms, positions, combinations and phases of applications.
All this will stimulate to acquire self-control, psychophysical balance, excellent flexibility and coordination but also reflexes, confidence and determination without exaltation.

Roberto Miceli, Wing Tsun AWTA instructor ( www.awta.it ), First Grade Higher student of the Grand Master and head of the Sifu Michele Stellato school and Master Sifu Luca Damante. He has been practicing Wing Tsun since 1997, after six years of competitive Tae kwon do.
